Headline Conscious Artist Collective Groove Series to benefit
Darfur on August 16th.

FL: THEY improv, South Florida's leaders in
corporate comedy entertainment, joins with artists from throughout
the area to benefit Darfur, Sudan.
The Conscious Artist Collective, three-part groove series which
focuses on Darfur, Sudan, continues with THEY improv headlining
a night of entertainment featuring music by WorkEthic and Non
Grata, Poet Wilkine Brutus, and surrounded by artwork by Kapone
Is ILL. The event is at 7pm on Thursday, August 16th at the Hollywood
Central Performing Arts Center. The theatre is located at 1770
Monroe St. Hollywood. Amidst live music, spoken poetry, cocktails
and comedy, people gather to meet, laugh, and learn about the
current upsetting climate of Darfur, Sudan.

“THEY Improv is the perfect counter-balance
to the heavy subject-matter presented at the event…” says Event

built-up emotion to be released through laughter, and everyone

IT ANYWAY?" DARFUR AWARENESS EVENT
HOLLYWOOD, Fla – Conscious Artist Collective – The Groove Series
is a three-part series will conclude on Thursday Aug. 16, 2007.
Doors open at 7pm and the cover is $12 with proceeds going towards
No More Tears.
At this event participants will be entertained by the nationally
recognized improv group THEY Improv thru their Comedy with a Cause
campaign, music by WorkEthic and Non Grata, Poet Wilkine Brutus,
multi-media presentations by the Save Darfur Coalition, and local
film producers surrounded by artwork by Kapone Is ILL.
“This is a celebration for those artists and organizations who
helped to bring awareness to the plight in Darfur,” says co-producer
Gustavo David Ortiz, “we are using a proven format for entertainment
and working it into a live environment, hoping to use the familiarity
of this format to engage audiences.” The Groove Series is designed
to use the resources brought by individuals to create a network
for the purpose of bringing conscious issues to light.
