THEY improv weekly 'Midnight Players Club'
shows move to 11pm on Saturday, September 16th.
Hollywood,
FL: THEY improv, Broward County's improv troupe,
continues their effort at changing the face of comedy in South
Florida with their continuing performances at the Hollywood Playhouse
with some of South Florida's top improvisers on Saturday nights.
And now the shows are one-hour earlier at 11pm.
The shows feature 90 minutes of improvised comedy bringing together
comedic talent from throughout South Florida in addition to THEY
improv to put on an adult show designed to wildly entertain while
changing the face of comedy in South Florida.
This one-of-a-kind show features THEY improv, STD's and other
comic talent working together in a showcase and jam format to
present top-notch comedy.
"These shows have proven to be quite successful at bringing
the art to new audiences," said THEY improv director Todd
Rice. "We look forward to continuing this run at the Hollywood
Playhouse, which is a great theatre."
These weekly Midnight Players Club comedy shows at 11pm at the
Hollywood Playhouse will provide a new unique venue for young
comedic talent to show their stuff. It is only natural that THEY
improv would be right in the middle of this movement, after all,
THEY improv is changing the face of comedy in South Florida.
"We perform improv and never know what's going to happen,"
said Rice. "It's a gamble, so it's only fitting that the
price is a gamble too. The cost is $5 plus the roll of a six-sided
die."
The cost for a ticket is $5 plus the value of one roll of a six-sided
die (the singular of 'dice') at the ticket booth. Tickets therefore
range between $6 and $11 and are sold at showtime. Beer and wine
will most likely be available for purchase.
