Charity Shows to Benefit Local and National Organizations
THEY improv was founded on the idea of working with local and national charitable organizations to raise money. As "Comedy With a Cause" the performers of THEY improv know that improvisers rarely, if ever, get paid for their performances. Therefore, if we don't get paid, we could at least help raise some money for worthwhile causes.
PUTTING "FUN" IN FUNDRAISING
In the beginning, THEY improv worked with charities in South Florida, both in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, and started raising money. Since then, THEY have taken on national projects and are looking to advance and create some unique opportunities for national causes. Remember, THEY improv is one of the only organizations capable of performing multiple shows in multiple cities all at the same time. This brings up some truly interesting possibilities for charity shows.
The Comedy With A Cause program started with these humble notions. Since then, 10's of thousands of dollars have been raised for a variety of worthwhile charitable organizations with their improv comedy shows. These charity shows proved effective.
JUSTIFIABLE HOMICIDE
As THEY improv expanded, so did their charitable footprint. THEY improv began providing murder mystery dinner shows and began offering discounted rates to charitable institutions to help them raise money. We understand how tough the economy is and how one of the first things hit is the ability of donors to provide funds. And so, JUSTIFIABLE HOMICIDE was born. Justifiable Homicide is what we call it when people can have a murder mystery and it is for a valid reason. People can spend the money to see a show like this if it goes to a worthwhile cause.
LET'S MAKE A DIFFERENCE: GAME SHOWS
In addition, our Game Shows have made their way into our charity show mix. We help to entertain while educating about the charity. The idea is, get the information out to the public in an amusing way.
ENTERTAINING THOSE IN NEED
Sometimes, however, the show itself isn't a fundraiser, but is a
benefit to the organization. THEY improv have performed their shows to entertain patients, victims of natural disasters, support groups and others. This Comedy With a Cause program is how it all got started and we take great pride in our continuing efforts.

Though THEY improv isn't free, we do our best to keep these shows affordable. After all, if we're not going to make money, and if the charity isn't going to benefit, why are we doing it to begin with? We'll consult with you and come up with a program that makes sense.
