THEY
improv provides Comedy With A Cause
Charity Shows to Benefit Local and National Organizations
The
Comedy With A Cause program looks to work with charitable organizations
throughout South Florida to help bring them funding and exposure
that assists them to continue to provide their valuable services.
In November of 2010, THEY improv joined with three other troupes to come together to benefit Tickled Pink, a night to benefit two separate charities.
The Michelle Catania Children’s Theater Program, in partnership with the Center Players, her local community theater in Freehold, NJ, will provide children’s theater programming as well as scholarships (in Florida and New Jersey) to children of parents who have survived or passed away from cancer.
Event Proceeds also benefited the American Cancer Society’s flagship breast cancer fundraiser, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC), which funds national research as well as provides local support to women with breast cancer.
"Lil Bean," the mascot of the night was developed by Tony Catania and sybolizes the fun for the evening along with the value of the charities involved.
