THEY improv celebrates
Gilda Radner's Birthday at the Seminole Hard Rock Improv in Hollywood
on June 28th to Benefit Gilda's Club.
Hollywood,
FL: THEY improv, Broward County's improv troupe,
continues their effort at changing the face of comedy in South
Florida with their benefit performance for Gilda's Club South
Florida on June 28th at the Seminole Paradise Improv in Hollywood,
Florida.
The show will feature THEY improv with Majic 102.7 FM's Joe Johnson
in 90 minutes of comedy that will raise money for Gilda's Club®
South Florida while celebrating Gilda's birthday.
"To me Gilda's Club is all about celebrating how she lived,"
said THEY improv Director Todd Rice. "We use comedy in remembering
the anniversary of her birth. I can hardly think of anything more
fitting."
Gilda's
Club's mission is to provide a place where men, women and children
living with cancer and their families and friends join with others
to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical
care. Activities and events are free to members and are offered
in a non-residential home-like setting. Gilda's Club is a free
social and emotional support community named for Gilda Radner.
If you would like to learn how you might be able to help this
invaluable organization, you can contact them at 954-763-6776

and national charities find funds and attention for their causes
while entertaining audiences at some of South Florida's most prestigious
venues.
"Gilda's Club remains one of our favorite organizations to
work with," said THEY Director Todd Rice. "Not only
have I performed many times to benefit their organization, I've
taught an improv class there and we regularly donate tickets for
them to raise additional funds. They do amazing work right here
in our community and we're happy to do whatever we can to help."
Majic
102.7 FM's on air personality Joe Johnson will be joining the
performance and will perform some stand-up. This will mark another
