a 4-20 study break at FIU!

THEY improv's comedy is smokin' in their
4-20 study break at FIU.
North
Miami, FL: THEY improv, leaders in college entertainment,
continues to change the face of comedy in South Florida with their
smokin' new show, "the 4-20 Study Break" at FIU on Friday,
April 20th at FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus at 8pm.
The show will feature some of South Florida's best comedic talent
coming together to give FIU students a refreshing spark to carry
them through finals to advance their higher education.
"I've been there," said director of THEY improv Todd
Rice. "We all have. It's great to get a break one way or
another when cramming for exams. We're glad to help their troubles
go away in a puff of smoke."
The comedy is bound to have them rolling all night long before
they have to turn their papers in the following week.
THEY improv has performed at Universities as prestigious as Yale,
but not often at educational institutions in South Florida.
"It's
nice to finally break into the local college scene," continued
Rice. "We know that students around the country love us,
but now our home town crowds will grow like weeds!"
"With finals beginning in just a few days," said Biscayne
Bay Dramatics President John Morris, "we're giving students
an oppurtunity to take a break from their studies this 4-20 and
in the process have a great time, laugh, participate and maybe
even learn something about improv and the theater."
The
show is being offered through FIU's Biscayne Bay Dramatics theatre
program and is free for all FIU students with ID. Non-FIU students
must pay $5 for admission. There is no 2-drink minimum and no
age requirement. And smoking is not allowed in the theatre.
Non-students may reserve seats by calling and leaving a message
on the THEY improv Hotline at (305) 948-7750. THEY improv will
provide the list to the University representatives and seats will
be held back by them until 5 minutes prior to showtime. Doors
open at 7:45 pm and the show begins at 8pm.
FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus is at 3000 NE 151st Street in North
Miami. Simply go to US-1 (Biscayne Blvd.) and 151st Street and
head East until you see FIU on the left. The show is in the Mary
Ann Wolfe Theatre. Parking is allowed for non-students in the
student parking area after 7pm.
