FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THEY iMprov to be joined by a professional
football player at their TradeMark Bowl™ at the Howard Johnson™
Plaza Hotel in Hialeah Gardens Thursday, February 1st, at 9pm.
Hialeah
Gardens, FL: THEY improv, South Florida's corporate
comedy leaders, stands ready to take on the Big Game being held
in Miami this year with their TradeMark Bowl touching down
at the Howard Johnson™ Plaza Hotel in Hialeah Gardens on Thursday
night, February 1st, at 9pm.
Not only will two ferocious teams of improvisers be facing off
in competition, the TradeMark Bowl™ will feature a professional
football player. A certain Miami quarterback!
Yes,
the one and only Sarah Goldstein of the Miami Fury will be joining
THEY improv onstage. She is number 8, and plays quarterback for
the Miami Fury, the women's tackle football team of the area.
"It's
brave of her to join in the fun of teasing the Big Game,"
said Todd Rice, Director of THEY improv. "A certain football
league that is national might not let her in because of that."
A big football game, a game that you might even say is super,
is coming to Miami. Legally, the name is TradeMarked, so the name
can't be used here. However, THEY improv's TradeMark Bowl™ will
attack all things intellectual, property and otherwise.

"Nothing
is safe and nothing is sacred," said THEY improv Director
Todd Rice. "THEY improv is going to show the super crowd
a super time and bowl them over."
The night will feature improvised performances by some of South
Florida's top comedy talent. Sketch material will include Stupor
Bowl Commercial Parodies™ and halftime entertainment news. The
new improvised piece, the Two Minute Comedy Drill™ will premiere
at the event.
The night also marks the anniversary of Janet Jackson's infamous
appearance at a previous half-time show. "I'd be concerned
if our audience wanted to to see me have a wardrobe malfunction,"
continued Rice, "but if they do, I'd hate to disappoint."
So
how can you do a parody of an event that so carefully protects
its name and identity? "We hate hypocricy," continued
Rice. "Not being able to say those two little words (that
rhyme with 'Booper Soul') without fear of being sued over a game
that is now more famous for the commercials than the game itself
is total hypocricy on their part. After all, it's only so famous
because people talk about it and use the name."
The show will begin at 9pm, with doors opening at 8:30pm. Tickets
are $5 and there is no two-drink minimum, though there is a full
bar available. There is a 21 year age restriction.
The Howard Johnson™ Plaza Hotel is located at 7707 NW 103rd Street
just on the West side of the Palmetto Expressway at the NW 103rd
Street exit.
