By Eleanor Hannon - April 20th, 2006

THEY IMPROV joins Mad TV's Keegan Michael Key in a special long form improv show to benefit "Hope for Vision," Live! on stage, at the North Miami Beach Theatre of the Performing Arts on Monday, April 24, at 7 pm. Funds raised will be used to raise awareness of degenerative diseases and to help fight for prevention and a cure, as well as providing tools and information for those coping with vision loss.

"Keegan Michael Key is an excellent actor trained in the Chicago tradition," said Todd Rice director of Improv, "We've been developing these skills for some time and are honored that Keegan will work with us on continuing the Chicago tradition for our local audiences." Keegan Michael Key was a member of the Second City Detroit Mainstage more than three years where he performed and wrote three shows. His film credits include, "Mr. 3000," "Uncle Nono," and independent film "Alleyball." He is now the host of "All New Planet's Funniest Animals."

The "Illegally Blind" event will feature a variety of top notch entertainment, in a ddition to Keegan, the Miami Heat Dancers, DJ Le Spam, The Green Room, and the Laughing Gas Improv Theatre Company. They Improv's program, "Comedy With a Cause," continues to change the face of comedy in South Florida by joining this show. They have been selected as the Best short Form Troupe for Broward County.

The North Miami Beach Theatre of the Performing Arts is located at 17011 NE 19th Ave., North Miami Beach. Tickets are $30 per person and $10 for students. Further information is available on the "Hope for Vision," Live! website at www.hopeforvisionlive.com.
