THEY are Broward County's best improv show and often performs at Broward County's top comedy venues.

The Mental Ward is quickly making a name for itself as a place for cutting-edge comedy. Improv and sketch troupes are trying out new formats and styles in the Mental Ward's no holds barred stage.

The Mental Ward is located just south of downtown Fort Lauderdale and just north of the Hollywood-Fort Lauderdale International Airport on Federal Highway.

Directions (From the North): I-95 South to Davie Blvd. Go East (left) to Federal Highway (US-1) and turn right. Go several blocks to see the Mental Ward on the right hand side of the road south of 19th and north of 20th.

Directions (from the South): I-95 North to I-595 East. Take I-595 East to the Federal Highway North (US-1 - North) exit. Note: It is at the same place as the airport exit, so be careful to choose US-1 North to Fort Lauderdale. Take Federal Highway north to the Mental Ward on the left hand side of the road. It is before 19th and after 20th street.
